I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I have had it for awhile and needed a book with meat after reading a bunch of teen books. The story of Gogol and his family had me in from the beginning. I do not know much about Indian/Bengali culture and the story informed me of it and what it would be like for any immigrant who comes to America. I have a new understanding of the walls that can be put up when parents and children grow up in different places and the children have to adapt to being bi-cultural more than their parents. Great story. SPOLIER ALERT**I was a little sad that Gogol didn't find a love that stays. I wanted to bitch out his wife when she has the affair! Hopefully someone is wishing for this and I can return the favor.
