I'm reading this for a book club and I like what I've read so far. I've already learned a lot. My husband already finished the book, so I'll register his copy and hopefully start a bookray.

This book will be traveling on a bookray. Send me a private message if you're interested in participating.

Tips for successful participation in a bookray or ring:
  • As soon as you receive the book, add a journal entry so the sender knows it wasn't lost in transit.
  • Try to read the book within 1-3 months so those after you in the shipping order don't have to wait too long.
  • When you mail the book, add a journal entry with the date you mailed it. This will help me track it down with the postal service if it gets lost in transit.
Here are the BookCrossers who have expressed an interest in this bookray. We'll try to stick to this order if at all possible. When you're done, send a private message to the next person on the list and arrange to mail it to him or her. The last person on the list can pass it on to whomever they want. Enjoy!

Reading this book was not the happiest of experiences. I thought I was reasonably politically knowledgeable, but there are things about the way this world works that I did not know and was horrified to learn. One cannot know these things without finding it necessary to find a way to try to make it better in some small way.

It's in the mail today!

The book arrived safe and sound this morning. I have a few chapters left in my current read, and then I'll be launching right into this book.

I finished the book today after a slow start. It was ok. I switched from depressed to angry on a regular basis while reading. The only real problem I have is that the author is very quotation mark happy. I felt as if every other word was in quotes. I can picture this guy being the type of person who makes quotation gestures in the air while he talks. Honestly, I think it gives him a little less credibility. To me, by quoting every other phrase or word, he comes off as more of a conspiracy theorist than is actually is.

I have to say, though, that the final essay on the Aborigines was very thoughtful.

I have PMed HikingReader and will mail out the book as soon as I have an address.
