Journal Entry 1 by Rianonne from Wien Bezirk 22 - Donaustadt, Wien Austria on Saturday, March 25, 2006
Two hundred years: that's how long Rhage must bear the curse born of his reckless inconsideration. Sex and violence are all he once pursued; now they are the only things that keep the beast within at bay. He has little hope for finding peace during this existence, until Mary Luce enters his life. Irresistibly drawn to her light, he's pulled into a struggle with his own demons as well as the real enemies who threaten the vampire world and Mary.

Journal Entry 3 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Thursday, January 18, 2007
Wow!!! This was really good!! Somehow better than the first book...somehow not. Well I really can't wait for the next book because there was at least one part of the story that wasn't cleared up and I want to know if the person survives! There were some new characters introduced in this book and we didn't see so much of the main characters from book 1. Alot of storyline near the end of the book was preperation for book 3. The ending of this book ended the story of 'Rhage' but not the main storyline. I still stick with my first reaction to this series. It is alot like the 'Dark Hunter' series. However it has it's own 'thing' and well I just can't wait to read more!!! Thank you Rianonne for yet again lettting me borrow this!!

Journal Entry 6 by Rianonne from Wien Bezirk 22 - Donaustadt, Wien Austria on Wednesday, April 25, 2007
I very much enjoyed this book - there is character building, interesting plots, the scenes with the Lessers don't quite work for me always but they are few and far between - in fact, the Lessers are pretty weak opponents to the Brotherhood in this series. What was well written was Mary's fears about her illness and what caring for her would do to Rhage in the long run. What's also very good about this book is the continuation of other plot lines and the introduction of the story of Bella and Zsadist which is the focus of the next book. Then Butch, the human, is still in this book, still mooning unsuccessfully after Marisa, and he adds a little extra to the story. And there’s a second storyline about a young man, an orphan and a friend of Mary’s, who doesn’t know that he is shortly going through the transition to become a vampire. The mystery of his past is not completely resolved in this book and I’m looking forward to seeing more of him in the next book. My only negative point about this book is that the Scribe Virgin (the Vampires' deity) comes in at the end to fix a significant problem in the story and it feels rather cheating and an easy way out. Still that's not a major complaint and it doesn't spoil the book. now it will travel as BookRay for my friends over at Club VLAD to enjoy: 1) Wyvernfriend (Ireland) 2) NeedSun (Canada) 3) rowenne (USA) <---wants to be skipped 4) nikel27 (Germany) 5) CandyDarling (Finland) <---the book is here 6) Morgaine77 (Switzerland)

Journal Entry 8 by wyvernfriend from Lucan, Co. Dublin Ireland on Monday, May 21, 2007
Rhage is dangerous, there is a monster within him who is all too willing to come out to defeat the lesser, but once it's loose it's quite hard to control. He can keep it at bay with sex and fighting. Mary Luce is a survivor, she's gone through leukemia. Through some horrendous treatment and she's survived. Now she has to face the fact that it might be back. When she gets sucked into the vampire world they want to keep her out but she is attracted to Rhage but he's not sure that he wants to get involved, she stokes the beast. Fun read but maybe not the right thing to be reading when I'm looking at my own review next month. Discovered that I have book 3, so I can read it soon.
