I read this book quite some time ago. I recall that alhtough I enjoyed it, I did not appreciate some of the characteristics made of women in the community. My feeling is that people outside of the Orthodox community may make generalizations that these women depict all Orthodox women.

It was interesting the way the writer used the "chorus" effect as part of her writing style. The universal truth..it doesnt matter where you are there are alwasy "insiders" and "outsiders".
