This is the last book I read in 2007. A fantastic novel based on lots of facts about the establishment and later development of Hong Kong. If, like me you know absolutely nothing about the past of Hong Kong, this book is a great way to learn a bit. The book comprises the life stories of 4 seemingly unconnected people, who in some way have direct impacts on each others lives and futures.
Sorry I kept this so long. I will bring it to the next meet-up for someone else to read.
