Journal Entry 1 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Wednesday, March 22, 2006
I have already read this book but when I saw this brand new looking copy in the second hand shop I just had to bring it home with me! This is on alot of wishlists so I am going to make a ring! ----------------------- From Booklist - Women's reading groups form, dissolve, reform. Some have the lives of mayflies, while others boast many years' existence. Nicole and Harriet, with lives and husbands that are very different (Nicole's is a womanizer), are cofounders of their group, which includes single-mom Polly, Polly's pal Susan, and Clare, a midwife. These Englishwomen come together for literary discussions but, as bonds form over the years, stay for friendship

Please make a journal entry as soon as you recieve the book and also when you send it to the next person. Then we know where the book is! When you are finished with the book please PM the next person on the list and ask for their address so you can send it on to them! Also let us know what you thought of the book but don't give too much away! Lastly if you have nicer bookcrossing labels or stickers then decorate the book a little! Journal Entry 4 by vainilla79 from Pinto, Madrid Spain on Wednesday, May 03, 2006
Yesterday night I finished this book, and it was a nice reading. It is interesting to see how women establish relationships and/or a network in which they are able to express their joys and sorrows. I guess it is like in real life, in most of cases. Ok, I will PM mickey81 in Italy to keep this book travelling!

Journal Entry 14 by sarradee from Dallas, Texas USA on Saturday, August 05, 2006
Well, I too wished they would have focused a little more on the book discussion and a little less on the overly dramatic problems of the participants. It seemed a little far fetched that each of the women would come to a crisis point in their lives at roughly the same time, and resolve them at roughly the same time. Not really what I expected from the reviews I'd read and recommendations I'd been given. I pm'ed the next on the list a when I was about 2/3rds done, and now I'm just awaiting an address. If I don't hear anything soon, I'll try sending another pm.

Journal Entry 20 by bargainqueen from North Nowra, New South Wales Australia on Thursday, November 30, 2006
Wow, I really very much enjoyed this book! I was away visiting remote Aboriginal communities last week and it was a great read for the long drives in between places. I didn't think it was that unrealistic that the women all had crisis' at the same time - some of them only joined the bookclub to get away from their probs in the first place! Definitely a warm read. Will pm rennie and send as soon as possible. Thanks for sharing!

Sorry for the major delays. I took this book on holidays with me and finally finished reading it. I found it hard to get into at first, however by the end I really wanted to know what happened to all the characters. Once I got into it I found it quite a nice easy read. I already have your address amberkatze and return home next week where I will send it straight back to you. ( alot of people have included postcards which I have left at home whilst I was travelling and so I get home next week and will send them all to you with the book) Thanks for starting teh ring adn including me.
