brilliant... touching the deepest parts of me, which I've already forgotten or tried to forget...
Ever since my friend said to me a few years ago and I quote "You get a love life more complex than a Milan Kundera novel and I get mugged. Where's the justice I cry?" I've wanted to read some of Milan Kundera's work! And now finally thanks to altermika I can.
Altermike - thank you so much
EDIT: 07/07/2006 - started reading it this week, I love the layout of the book, it’s pleasing to me and the short concise chapters make it easier for me to read (for those of you that don’t know I’m a terribly slow reader). I’m not sure if I should have been laughing when reading through the first section or not but I found on occasion I couldn’t help myself. So far it’s great that being said I’ve only read the first 30 or so pages!

A mind blowing novel on love, politics, war, infidelity and amongst other things the human mind, it’s a great novel which really got me thinking about life.
Kundera writes beautifully short passages which makes this a great read which is both easy and satisfying.

Stubee has lent this to me. He kept laughing out loud when reading it and trying to read bits of it to me so now I have to read it for myself to see what on earth he was on about!
Well I wasn't laughing out loud but I did think this was a brilliant read. The short chapters made it easy to read and kept it interesting, especially when it was moving between stories and time periods. The book contained a lot of good observations on a whole variety of subjects and I found it thoroughly enjoyable as well as thought provoking.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Taken to the meetup. (Sorry stubee. I needed something to take to the meetup, and I've never got on well with Milan Kundera, so this was culled from my bookshelf.)
