This book came from a large lot we recently bought at auction but unfortunately it is not suitable for our shop stock, so is going to be "book-crossed", so that someone else may enjoy it.

Probably not some of Hutson's best work, although not a bad book overall I guess. There's the classic twist at the end, and new characters being introduced 80% through the book, and several teniously linked story threads going on at the same time.
Snaffled from Gazza1980 before he could release it elsewhere! I like Shaun Hutson books :o)
Then read and finished reasonably quickly. The beginning part of the book, where the accident happens, is gory even by Hutson's standards, and it made me squirm a bit (having dismissed the comment on the cover by the Daily Express: "You can't read Shaun Hutson for more than a minute or two without starting to squirm"" I managed more than a few minutes, but still!). I liked the fact that anyone could have been responsible for anything, and I "got" most of the thinking behind the effects before it was revealed, though not the full horror of it! That's nasty. Just shows what you can cover with a bit of latex, eh?!
Worth a read, as horror books go, especially if you like lots of gore - this one is pretty heavy on it! I'll pass this on at some point, maybe at a BC meet, maybe I'll leave it on the shelf at the local bar where they share books around :o)
