A gonzo, drug-hyped, adrenaline-fuelled journey to the centre of the 1970s American Dream incarnated as Las Vegas. Halluncinatorily funny and terribly depressing at the same time. The writing is frenetic yet light, although the plot doesn't go anywhere in particular, but rather careers around out of control, much like the two main characters...
