The Life of Pi is an entertaining story written in a capitvating manner. The story splits broadly into three sections describing Pi's life in India, his time spent on the ocean after his ship sinks and the recounting of his story to insurance investigators. The first section lays the background for Pi's view of religion and faith, the latter which becomes perhaps the main subtext for the rest of the story. Very accomplished and a very good read. I can see why it won the Man Booker prize.
