Beautiful pictures in this one, but I felt like the focus was more on actually frying than _making_ things to put in the fryer. I was very excited to see the recipe for Toasted Ravioli with Tomato Sauce; there is a fairly extensive recipe for the tomato sauce (not fried), and then the "recipe" for the ravioli calls for...24 cheese filled ravioli. Oh well, I guess I'll find a recipe for the ravioli elsewhere.
From the back:
"It's a special treat, but when it comes right down to it, few foods satisfy like deep-fried dishes. Fried & True is your complete guide to the best fried foods the world has to offer. Boasting no fewer than three world-class recipes for unbeatable fried chicken and scores of other golden-hued delights, and calling for only the freshest ingredients, this is the gourmet guide to frittering your days away."

I received a second copy of this for Christmas so this copy is available.
