Buying birthday books for my Ma... got suckered into the 3 for 2 offer!
I thought this book was fantastic! Great plot, great dialogue, superb and gripping read.
It is translated from Spanish but I can't recall at any time thinking any text was obviously 'translated' - the sign of a job well done - particularly in respect of the humour.
My only criticism is that during Nuria's (lengthy) story I missed the humourous bits - especially the exchanges between Daniel and Fermin.
I hope the next reader enjoys it as much as I did.

In the end it took me quite long to finish it.
Though it did get more realistic I still did like it. I didn't like some characters. Fascinating story.
