I am thrilled that there are already 2 -yes, 2- sequels planned for this book. Heather is a wonderful heroine/amateur sleuth and the book was great fun. It took me quite a while to figure out "who done it" a very rare experience for me. I can't say much more as I don't want to spoil it for others.

First I must apologize for not journaling this book right away. It was part of the mountain of mail we had held while on vacation. I remember going to the computer to make a JE but I must have gotten distracted.

This wasn’t my favorite book by Meg Cabot but I still liked it. It was a great book to read at night when I was unable to sleep. I prefer light reading and this certainly qualified. I am curious to see what Heather is up to in the next book in this series.

BTW the dress on the cover certainly doesn’t look like a size 12, well maybe once it is untwisted. I could sympathize with Heather has my first college roommate had to make her own clothes as most sizes 0 or 2 were too big. Ack!! I think I was a size 10 then and wasn’t real sympathetic. :)

Very cute book! I really liked this for a light, quick read during my vacation! I have to admit that I didn't figure out who the killer was...I thought one of Heather's suspects was it before she brought it up, but I was wrong! I think this was a neat chick-lit meets detective mix and I'm adding the next books to my wishlist.

Update June 12

I finished the book today and enjoyed the fast pace. It was a great book to get me out of my reading slump. At first I found Heather to be slightly annoying, but she grew on me as the novel progressed. I too am putting the upcoming novels on my wishlist! Thanks!

A neat take on chicklit, having a mstery thrown in..Is a US 12 a UK 14? DOesn't seem that fat to me if so! I'll look out for others in the series.

thanks so much, a most fun read, you can't help liking heather, really liking her, even when sometimes cabot style of writing and being cute (ooh like the 10000th time she said "dorm, oh i mean residence hall") gets on your nerves. i would love to read the others in the series.
i've handed it over to hengameh this weekend, thanks so much bookreadera for this lovely ring and thanks hengameh, sunlightbub and all other for getting it here.
p.s. and size 12 is definitely not fat :)

Arrived safe and sound from Japan and is now sitting with my other rings/rays. I'm making progress with them so it shouldn't be with me too long.
I've now been a bookcrosser long enough that there are rings/rays I signed up for that are over a year old. This is one of them. Fun to get a book that has traveled the world and made it to my little abode. :D
I'll journal it again when I finish. Thanks to all for passing it on.

It took a few pages, but I really enjoyed reading this book. I actually guessed the killer about halfway through the book, but I had no idea why that person was killing girls. The "dorm, oh i mean residence hall" bugged me as well, but wondering if Heather and Cooper were going to get together helped distract me. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the Heather Wells series.
This will be going home to bookreadera in the next day or so. Thanks again for introducing me to Heather and all of her crazy friends.
