From the author's introduction: This book is addressed to young men and dedicated to older women - and the connection between the two is my proposition.

Note: this book is filling the slot for a book by an author from Hungary in my attempt at the "Olympic Challenge" - reading books by authors from all 202 countries that participate in the Olympics, in 2 years. The author was born in Hungary and is described by reviewers as Hungarian although he has moved around and now lives in England. If I happen on a Hungarian author who's stayed put, I may change my mind - but since this book looks pretty interesting, maybe not.

I enjoyed this book. Before reading, I thought it might be chauvanistic, but I didn't perceive it as such. It was done in a memoir format, wandering through recollections of relationships. Carnally appreciative, but far from pornographic. I've read steamier woman's romance stories.

My husband also thought it was pretty good.

I got this from my local used book store and, unfortunately, the physical condition of this book is poor - the pages are brittle and one or two detached from the spine while I was reading although I was not being rough with it. I don't want to wild release it because of this.

For now, I'll keep it on my shelf but I'd be happy to share it with anyone who wants to treat it tenderly.
