Houseboy (African Writers Series)
3 journalers for this copy...
I enjoyed reading this book. It has a very colonial feel to it. I will have to look to see what date it was published, as I hope that the attitudes portrayed here are not still prevalent.
My only big issue with the book is that it's supposed to be in the form of diary or journal entries, but the story doesn't feel to me like someone's diary or journal. I have a hard time imagining someone writing in this style to a journal.
I'm glad to have read it. I think there's another copy or two circulating among the folks in the Olympic Challenge, so I'll have to think of another way to pass it on to other interested readers.
