Apparently in July 2005 I said I'd read another of her books.

And I did. This is the sequel to Givenchy Code, where now Mel's best friend, singer/waitress Jennifer, has been sucked into the game PSW. She's playing for her life, but this time she's the protector of a hunky FBI agent - Devlin Brady.

Still full of death and fashion, and it's a pretty good mix!

Is it so wrong that I find the assassin's tattoo [description] appealing - one I wouldn't mind for myself? In my defense, she's a hot assassin...

Read it again over the weekend, in between heinous experiences of stomach flu.

Sending it off to my dear antof9. enjoy, honey!

Wahoo! Look what came in today's mail!

I have been interested in this ever since you first mentioned it! And I'm on quite a binge of "junk food" books, too, so this one will probably be read soon :)

Thanks LOTS, Blue! This looks so entertaining :)

This is the perfect book for sitting on the back deck in the sun! I read it on Monday, and loved it. Of course, now I want to read The Givenchy Code, but I'm pleased to report it is totally not necessary to the enjoyment of this one :)

Here's the email I fired off to a friend just minutes before finishing this:

subject: Any interest. . .
. . . in a slightly trashy piece of chick lit mystery that takes place in NY and has loads of Broadway references?

I think she'd like it, but perhaps my note didn't sell it very well? *scratches head*

Oh well, it was fun and lite and had a few typos that surprised me (no I didn't keep track -- I was sunbathing!) and helped pass the time enjoyably.

Thanks for sharing, Blue!

(photo of view from upstairs window, taken last year at about this same time. Yes, the grass is dying and the 2D shot from my camera phone doesn't do the foothills justice, but still. . .you can get a *sense* of sitting on my back deck, basking in the sun)

Picked this up from the book buffet table at the BC 2007 convention. I think I have a copy of this one back home, but I know a few other people who'd appreciate it as well. So this'll probably wind up being a controlled release once I get back to Massachusetts. :)
