I am willing to LEND books from my personal collection on the condition that you send them back to me when you're done. Please see my profile for details.

This is the book that started it all. The first of the Anita Blake series. MOST EXCELLENT!

I acquired this copy to replace the well-worn copy from my successful bookring that traveled the world. I've decided to release that copy at the Toronto BC convention I'm attending in April 2006.

Book Description
No one knows the dark desires of the soul better than New York Times bestselling author Laurell K. Hamilton. In Guilty Pleasures, she introduces Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter. Anita's small, dark, and dangerous. But when the city's most powerful vampire comes to her for help, Anita is faced with her greatest fear--a man capable of arousing in her a hunger strong enough to match his own...

"Why should it surprise me that I was alive?...
There on the right side of my neck was the real thing.. Tiny, diminutive, fang marks. Nikolaos [had] contaminated me... I bet she thought I'd be scared of her. She was right on that. But I spend most of my waking hours confronting and destroying things that I fear. A thousand-year-old master vampire was a tall order, but a girl's got to have a goal."

Title: Guilty Pleasures: An Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Novel (book 1)
Author: Laurell K. Hamilton
My Area of Interest: Another vamp book. I bummed this one from Cherie's PC.
Finished 3/6/07 - I ended up getting burt out on vampish books, so I had to read some other stuff first. I'm glad I bummed this one from Cherie. I'm used to a bit more romance/chick lit in my vamp books, but this was really pretty good. I have like book 10 in the series, and I think I'll read more of this series... starting in on a series this big so far is a big daunting, but I think I'll work them in slowly in with my other TBRs.

RELEASE NOTES:

Sending to Cherie... Thanks!!!

Whoops! I just noticed as I was searching thru the Hamilton books on my shelf that I never journaled this as coming back home when NMZ returned it to me. But it's here, and back in my PC, so that I can eventually turn some other unsuspecting reader who's never heard of LKH and Anita Blake into a paranormal junkie like me. LOL
