I picked this up in a firm where I was for a training day, as the book was in their canteen and about to be thrown out. So I thought I'd give it a new life as a BC book!

Harrowing auto-biography about a little girl growing up with a crazy mother who has Munchhausen By Proxy and a violent father. In the vein of "A Child Called It", this book is difficult and depressing to read at times, but also thought provoking and worth persevering with.

It is hard to believe the atrocities people carry out on their own children, and the lengths they go to, to hide it from the authorities. A very disturbing but at the same time fascinating read

Interesting story of a girl whose mother puts her through a lot of torture because she's suffering from Munchausen's by Proxy. It's scary how easily her mother continued to persecute her through time and how no-one really noticed that it was happening.

Interesting read, scary stuff, of interest to those who enjoy tales of childhood suffering.
