Journal Entry 1 by CdnBlueRose from Arvada, Colorado USA on Tuesday, February 28, 2006
When Cora is savagely murdered with a hatchet, the extraordinary remark she made the previous day at her brother Richard's funeral suddenly takes on a chilling significance. At the reading of Richard's will, Cora was clearly heard to say: 'It's been hushed up very nicely, hasn't itBut he was murdered, wasn't he?' In desperation, the family solicitor turns to Hercule Poirot to unravel the mystery.

Another AC that I didn't guess whodunit. She always stumps me. I really enjoyed trying to figure who was killed and who did it in the family. Poirot deduces very quickly who the murderer is and lays a trap. ;)

Journal Entry 6 by PepperVL from Cincinnati, Ohio USA on Tuesday, September 04, 2007
Well, we're sure directed away from that particular killer, aren't we? *laughs* A very enjoyable book, though I had absolutely no idea "whodunit" until it was revealed at the very end. I guess I'm a bit confused as to how it worked (wouldn't she be recognized later?), however, I'm far from a master of disguises, so... I guess it could work.
