This wonderful Akamba folktale reminds us of the importance of all living things, and also shows kindness, persistence, and hope.

Note: this book is filling the slot for a book by an author from Tanzania in my attempt at the "Olympic Challenge" - reading books from all 202 countries that participate in the Olympics in 2 years.
The author is an Arusha Maasai from Tanzania. He has also lived in Canada and the USA.

I have to admit that I'd read this story before but I did re-read it at this time. It's a great story.

A delightful tale. I sat down nd read this almost as soon as I took it from the post. I loved the illustrations and liked the story where, although perhaps predictably, virtue is rewarded and everyone lives happily ever after. Thankyou hobbit
