I got this in the mail today. It was sent to me by a countrywoman in exile :-) in Paris. She offered it as an RABCK and I was thrilled to get it - I love the movie so I'm really looking forward to reading the book. This is actually how I found out that there even *was* a book. :-D I'll post again once I've read the book. Tusen takk, nordique!! :-)

I'm finally reading this book now! :-) Started it on Thursday last week (January 1st). The first book I started this year. :-) I'm getting through it quite slowly but I am really enjoying it. It's well written and with fascinating characters. More when I've finished the book. :-)

Journal Entry 4 by LeishaCamden from Alna bydel, Oslo fylke Norway on Wednesday, January 14, 2009
I finished this book on Friday, January 9th. This was a very good read, kind of slow in parts, but very well written and with a fascinating cast of characters. Maybe a little too fascinating ... there were so many weirdos in this book that at times I could hardly credit it. And the plot ... so complicated! Whose life is that complicated? :-D It made me tired just reading about it ... I'm glad my life isn't that messy. ;-) This book was both funny and sad ... I felt bad for the main character, and actually for most of the supporting cast as well :-) but at the same time could hardly help smilig at their misfortunes. Oy vey, what a mess ... ! A very good read that I don't hesitate to recommend. Thanks for sharing, nordique! Not sure what to do with the book now, but I'll think of something. :-)
