Wuthering Heights (Penguin Classics)

"The saga of two Yorkshire families in the remote Pennine Hills. The book has been interpreted as an historical romance, a ghostly thriller, a psychological love-story, a religious allegory and a nature poem. It tells the tale of Heathcliff's and Cathy's ungovernable love and suffering, and the havoc that their passion wreaks on the families of the Earnshaws and the Lintons. This is the author's only novel." I love this book! The people in it, the mystery, the love stories - bittersweet love that endures everything and reaches beyond the grave...
# 902 "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die"
Thank you so much! I am looking forward to read this book!
Do you watch the soccer match Germany Sweden tomorrow?
After having read the novel years ago in German I really enjoyed reading the book in the original language.
The love story beetween Heathcliff and Catherine is from the beginning determined to end tragic, but in the second generation this family drama comes to a good ending. I would have prefered though to let Heathcliff himself have a chance to develop. Unbelievable how easily people die in this novel for the reason of broken hearts!
It is written very well- even though I had some problems understandig Joseph. And it also showes a sense of humor, namely connected with the character of Lockwood, that one would not expect in such a tragic story.
Thank you, Panzeranzi, I hope the book will find a new interested reader!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
ooops, I should write a translation for Panzeranzi: I found this book yesterday on the brandnew shelf of the new OBCZ in Regensburg during the very first meet-up there. Since I liked Jane Eyre so much, I wanted to read more of Emily Bronte, who's books are timeless and very well written.
Greetings from Germany!
I'm sorry, I didn't read this book yet and now there is a brilliant chance, to send it on an interesting journey with a box, which is called "Box of the 1000 books you should have read". Maybe it will come back to me one day, then I'll read it straight away, I promise!! :-)
