Who can resist chocolate? 'Chocolat is a timeless and enchanting story about temptation, pleasure, and what a complete waste of time it is to deny yourself anything.'
An interesting study of the conflicting aspirations of Vianne and the local priest. Although a work of fiction, it caused me to wonder again if the intentions of the church are always truly good. The motives and actions of the priest seemed tainted in contrast to Vianne's desire to bring happiness and pleasure to the villagers - encouraging them to live their lives not in bondage to others, but following their heart's deepest desires.

Thanks for leaving this at Green Leaf. Isn't that place great? It's a great way to pass around books instead of letting them collect dust. Thanks again!
