This work is truly stream-of-consciousness. Wherever Patricia Williams' thoughts wander, her book takes us there. Her chapters range from philosophical (paricularly related to racism), to the humorous, to the mundane, to the indecipherable (I could not figure out some of her flights of fancy, although perhaps that was because I was tired at the time). I knew Williams from her colums in The Nation, but this book showed her to be a wonderfully complex, funny -- and very human -- woman.
