Journal Entry 2 by crrcookie from Tecumseh, Oklahoma USA on Monday, February 20, 2006

This book is interesting enough and about one of my now favorite authors (because of the Harry Potter series) but I also thought that this book was very simplistic and didn't tell very much information at all about J.K. Rowling. I felt that there were a lot of things that would have been interesting to read about her that were not included in the book. There is however a brief synopsis of each of the Harry Potter books so that people can see if the HP books are something they might want to read.

Journal Entry 4 by nikel27 from Ginsheim-Gustavsburg, Hessen Germany on Thursday, March 23, 2006
When I got the last bookbox I decided that I needed to record the entire journey of each book in the box and that includes it passing through my hands. I mean how else would one know that the book has been all the way to Germany and how do I know whatever became of the poor books that I didn't choose? I have my reasons for choosing or not choosing a book but maybe it is "just the book" for someone else and that it was fate that I passed it up. I am journaling each of the books and I will be releasing them to the bookbox which has been a very useful practice in several of the other bookboxes I have participated in. **************************************************

took this out of the box and will read asap. thanks! 21.10. nice fast read that includes a few interesting informations about j.k. rowling. I would easily have done without the pages about what the first 4 harry potter volumes are about (guess anyone who reads background books about this author already knows her books). nevertheless thanks for letting me read it, it will go back into the box right away.

Journal Entry 8 by Geegal on Friday, October 27, 2006
Thanks crrcookie for putting this book into the bookbox and for all the effort you took with it back thn (collecting the books from overseas. making the beautiful journal). I think this book ONLY AUTHORIZED AUTOBIOGRAPHY of J.K. Rowling is the one book that had been read the most of the bookbox. I mean it's so slim and nice that I think many participants couldn't help reading it. I myself read it yesterday during a bus and train ride. I might have read this interview or similar ones but It's always nice to read J.K. Rowling interviews again. Plus the things one can guess about the books and the final books always make secondary books on the potter books interesting for me.

Journal Entry 10 by blups25 from New Delhi, Delhi India on Sunday, January 21, 2007
Mrs. Rowling arrived safely in Bochum. I am re-reading Harry Potter 1-6 at the moment, as number 7 is to be published in July, and we are discussing the books in the German forum (one book each month), so I'm very interested in Rowling's thoughts. Thanks for sending!

Journal Entry 11 by blups25 from New Delhi, Delhi India on Monday, January 22, 2007
Oh, this was nice! I read this small book on one evening, and most of it was interesting. OK, some parts were for REAL fans only, it's e.g. not really important, if J. K. Rowling had a pet as a child. But other parts of her biographie did indeed influence the Potter books, so that was interesting. Especially when she tells us how the books were written, and that it took her five years from the idea until she started writing. Nevertheless: I can't believe that this is all she has to tell us. But maybe she didn't want to, until the seventh book ist published? I will keep this book for some more days an re-read parts of it. As I am somehow moderating those discussions about the Potter books in the German forum, I would like to have a closer look, wich parts of these interviews could be used as diskussion topics. P.S. crrcookie, I like your label! : )
