Dead Until Dark (Southern Vampire Mysteries)

I enjoyed this book so much! This series and the Undead series by MJ Davidson have gotten so much play lately, I figured I would give them a chance. The Undeads were classified as romances, and were fun reads, but this book blew them out of the water! Though the spine labels it Fantasy, this book was as well written as some "Literature and Fiction" I've read lately. The romantic scenes were actually way steamier than those in the Undead "romances," and the plot was well developed and intermixed with the extensive character development needed to set us up for the series. I have the next two on my shelf and I'll probably go directly to them next!
I'm pretty sure I mailed this 'cause I can't find it around the house anywhere.... *wading through the piles of books* it's promised to SciFisstrs, hopefully you'll be receiving it soon! (and I will definitely be cleaning soon! :)
Just got done this book last night. I really liked it. So different to read about vampires as being part of the community.
I'm not to sure what I think about Bill "the vampire", but am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
