King seemed to be back on track with this book, the sixth in the series. Song of Susannah focuses more on the group's quest for the tower and moves the story along, unlike the previous book in this series. Wolves of the Callah seemed to diverge too much from the goal.
I don't know that I would have liked this book as well as I did if I hadn't already grown familiar with the characters. The whole series has a sci-fi feel to it, but this even more so.
