The first of a favorite trilogy, RABK'd to me by FutureCat - thank you!
The story of Smiler, on the run from an approved school. He needs to stay out of the reach of the law until his father, a merchant seaman, gets home to help him sort out an untrue accusation of theft. The characters and animals he meets, in particular Yarra, a cheetah escaped from Longleat Wildlife Park, are beautifully described.
Finding another copy, I will release this one soon.
