RELEASE NOTES:
Well I found the book strangely enough in the World Cinema section of the seven night DVD rental range in Blockbusters where I work. Actually it kinda made my day, really cheered me up, as I love books.
I started reading it a few hours later and found the style easy to read, though it did take me a while to realise the main character was a chick! So after about five pages I went back and re read the first few.
I stayed at a friends over the weekend following and while she was at work I came addicted to reading the book, pity that she finished work and came home! Since returning to my home after my weekend of relaxing I have finished the book; gobbled it up actually, couldn’t read it fast enough.
The ending is a little disappointing, it doesn’t really come to a conclusion, but leaves you with a sense of continuation which is also nice and uplifting. It touches many themes as was its intention, and it’s quite the head trip. Very surreal, full of summer, very light. I must say from an analytical point of view, as I am a writer myself, that there are several grammatical errors and at times the dialogue is hard to follow, but all in all a good reed and I would recommend it to everyone.
What am I going to do with the book now that I have read it….?
Well leave it somewhere else for someone else of course!
