A magical book. It's one of those books that makes you feel as though you have been on an emotional rollercoaster. Carrie Grant, Sunday Express

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a murder mystery novel like no other. The detective, and narrator, is Christopher Boone. Christopher is fifteen and has Asperger's, a form of autism. He knows a very great deal about maths and very little about human beings. He loves lists, patterns and the truth. He hates the colours yellow and brown and being touched. He has never gone further than the end of the road on his own, but when he finds a neighbour's dog murdered he sets out on a terrifying journey which will turn his whole world upside down.

In telling a painful story in the voice of a 15-year-old boy with Asperger's, Haddon broadens ordinary minds and helps to understand how they work, too. Daily Telegraph

This is such a special story! Loved it! Aspecially Christopher himself. He describes himself as "special" and he sure is.

Panzeranzi, stormon and I had a nice mini BC-meeting today.
I got this book and I’m relly looking forward to read it.
Thanks’ Kaleidoblikk for sending it on a ring!

The photo shows the book taking a rest on a stone in my garden. The Windflower or Wood Anemone in the pic. are not the white Anemone nemorosa, this one is lavender and called Anemone nemorosa 'Robinsoniana'. It's more beautiful in real, you can hardly see that it is lavender in the pic.

A beautiful book! It is very entertaining, I didn’t want to stop reading because I was wondering what was going to happen next.

I think the descriptions are really good about the difficulties for the boy to manage things that a lot of other people think is no deal at all. I also like the way his fathers and mothers problems are described. It’s gives us a bit of understanding about that it’s not an easy living having Asperger's or having a family member with Asperger's.
There where also a lot of good descriptions on ways to learn how to handle it.

The book gave me a lot of thought about interaction and communication. And some of the chats Christopher had really made me smile.

I agree with what Panzeranzi wrote, in the little notebook following this book, that Christopher is not that different from “normal” people, he is just special. And we all are unique and special!
But out in the world it can be scaring and a scared person can be called a lunatic and become dangerous to other people. It can easily go wrong.
I’m glad that this book has become a bestseller; hopefully it will give a lot of people some understanding for differences among us human beings.

I have a relative with Asperger's and I will ask her family if they have read the book or I will buy a copy and give it to them.

Thank you so much for sharing this book in a ring Kaleidoblikk!

Now I will take one more look at those beautiful pictures and make a little note in the book.
On the 17th of May I will meet stormon and give the book to her.

A beautiful book! I really loved it. It is written in such a way that the words are coming out of Christopher's own head. All the details and small examples of how his mind works gives body and texture to the book.
To be recommended!

And now the book is home with me again!

Haven't yet decided what to do with it, so it'll stay with me for a while, maybe..?
