Oh dear. I really didn't like this book. On the plus side, it's short and written in a very accessible style. And I do at least feel as though I learned something about the history of clocks. But, on the much bigger down side, it felt like such a missed opportunity in terms of story telling. Sobel's focus on the science rather than people left me a little cold.
Once again, though, it's a book that other people rave about so I hope it finds happiness somewhere else.
