'Roland, the Last Gunslinger, is moving ever closer to the Dark Tower, which haunts his dreams and nightmares. Pursued by the Ageless Stranger, he and his friends follow the perilous path to Lud, an urban wasteland. And crossing a desert of damnation in this macabre new world, revelations begin to unfold about who - and what - is driving him forward.'

This is on a spiral with books 1-2 and 4-5.

Received this today from abrokenstarr as part of a spiral. I haven't been lured into the world of Mr S King, but my Dear Wife has. This one is for her!

June 2006.
Wifey finally managed to start this book and predictably, she loved it. It is ready to continue it's journey now, so off it goes to DazzyGidds. Thanks for sharing, Abrokenstarr!

Finishes on a cliffhanger - oooooh. Fortunately the next book in the spiral is already here, so I can carry straight on, if I can tear it away from Dear Son. He seems to have jumped right in, having not read the prequels or any Stephen King before.
PMing Nocton4...

Arrived safely today - many thanks. Due to start book 2 in 2 books time (too many rings arriving together!), so will be a few weeks before I start this.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

Well, a few weeks turned into several months but I finally got round to it.

Bit of a slow start on this one, what some might call the "build up". Dragged on for awhile, but did get going in the end, and I enjoyed reading it, even if the ending is a bit of an anti-climax (as the pages remaining kept diminishing, I could sense it coming).

Will now be on it's way to QuantumAyla. Thanks for sharing.

I do have the next one in my posession, but having read several King books recently, I'll need a little break first.
