Every Thursday at eight, four women meet to talk and share their lives. As one life-changing year unfolds it becomes a true celebration of friends helping each other through the tough times.
Having just suffered a heartbreaking divorce, Clare is bitter and angry. Then she learns some devastating news about her ex-husband.
Elizabeth, in her late fifties, is recently widowed and finds herself back in the dating game. And that means putting the past behind her.
Twenty-something Karen is desperate to be an actress - if only her parents didn't want her to be more like her respectable sister.
Julia is turning forty. Her kids are finally in their teens and she's just started her own business. Now she finds out she is pregnant.

Picked this up whilst supposed to be out grocery shopping. I always like to have a bit of chick lit on my shelf for when i fancy something light to read. It will therefore stay on my TBR pile until the next time that feeling arises.

9 out of 10

I loved this book and found it difficult to put down. I even found myself crying at one point - sad but true. The way it involves you in the lives of four very different women make you feel you know them and how they would react to certain situations.
Well worth a look.

9 out of 10

Brilliant book, really enjoyed it didn't want to put it down, kept making excuses to sit and read a few pages and it was so easy to read. I found it very touching in a few places, it made you want them all to be happy in the end.
Have emailed Hellie for her address and will be sending it off after Easter.
Thank you Tracey for doing the ring.

update: 16.5.06

Enjoyed this book and the very diffeent yet somehow very similar ,lives.
This book made me smile if only becasue by its very nature it reminded me of my Thursday night thing with a friend 9who has become a bookcrosser) we just have tea and often fgo pics but its a night in week I look forward to.
PLUS our bookcrossing meeting is Thursdays, we're there at eight and my work situation right now is really tough andf they go out of their way to make me laugh each week. this book is testament to those people in all our lives, even those who live far away and can't be physicall;y there for us in l;ife's good and bad moments, by the very nature of being our friedns they enrichen our lives and help us through those tough spots.

So thanks to all those people in my life and thanks to my bookcrossing friends too.

pming next for address now

Well this book appears to be well and truly lost in the mail. It hasn't been journaled since May so guess it has met a sticky end somewhere on its travels.
I will try to find a replacement copy for this ring now.
