Synopsis
A novel by the author of "A Dubious Legacy", "Not That Sort of Girl", "Jumping the Queue" and "The Camomile Lawn".

From the Back Cover
Poppy Carew, smarting and in shock because her live-in lover has left her for a richer woman, is called to the bedside of her dying father, a wonderful loveable eccentric who dies laughing. He asks as his last request that he be buried in style by an undertaker who specialises in fun funerals. He also astonishes Poppy by leaving her a large sum of money.

As news of her good fortune spreads, other friends of friends, acquaintances of her dead father (who appears to have made his fortune by being nice to old ladies) and, not least, her ex-lover emerge. Suddenly there are too many choices for Poppy Carew...

This arrived in the mail today. I had forgotten that this was the one with the North African hotel (I am reminded by glancing at the back cover) - ick - but do look forward to being re-acquainted with Furnival's Fun Funerals.

It is so nice to have Mary Wesley back in the house - I think I've read them all over the years, and owned most or all (many second hand), but over the course of several international moves I whittled myself down to only one (Not that sort of girl), and now I rather miss them. [I don't even have them on my virtual bookshelf since this was long before I had discovered bookcrossing.] I tried adding the film version Chamomile Lawn to my amazon wishlist but it's no longer available. :(
