Back cover text:
In the heart of rural Botswana, the poverty-striken village of Golema Mmidi is a haven to exiles from far and wide. South African political refugee, Makhaya, and Englishman Gilbert Balfour join forces to revolutionise the villagers' traditional farming methods. But their task is fraught with hazards as the pressures of tradition, opposition from the local chief and the unrelenting climate threaten to divide and devastate the fragile community.
I'm planning on reading this book for the 5 Books, 5 Countries, 5 Continents challenge.

This is a beautiful book.
I enjoyed it much more than I expected. I feel in love with Golema Mmidi as I was reading.
I'll be sending this book out to tenneh tomorrow. She accepted it as part of the Out of Africa relay.
