Neverwhere
4 journalers for this copy...
Richard Mayhew is a plain man with a good heart -- and an ordinary life that is changed forever on a day he stops to help a girl he finds bleeding on a London sidewalk. From that moment forward he is propelled into a world he never dreamed existed -- a dark subculture flourishing in abandoned subway stations and sewer tunnels below the City -- a world far stranger and more dangerous than the only one he has ever known....(cover blurb)
Beautiful, lyrical and strange. Back on my TBR pile. May be released eventually.

Badgered the releaser until she let me have it. Very much looking forward to reading it!
Off to be a part of the 2007 Bookcrossing Convention in Charleston, SC!
First heard about this book on the Best of 2006 swap on bookobsessed.com (formerly bookrelay) and it has been on my wishlist since then. So thanks so much MadameUrushiol!
ETA: Reserved for Luckaye. MsJoanna owes her this title and as I have a copy, I will mail mine to her directly. This saves MsJoanna some postage and nugs me to read it.

A totally entertaining, deeply satisfying page-turner. We followed Richard on his adventure (or misadventure), just like him, totally lost as in a labyrinth, unsure of what is happening and what will happen, yet drawn to this strange fantasy world and its habitants.
Now in a box waiting to be mailed to luckaye.
ETA: Mailed to luckaye 12/4/08 via surface mail.
