Journal Entry 1 by flajol from Preston, Lancashire United Kingdom on Tuesday, January 03, 2006
From Amazon: Little King December comes from a place where, the day you are born, you wake up fully grown and clothed. But every day you get a bit smaller and you forget a bit more, so at the end you are tiny and spend your days forgetting things, eating jelly bears and chasing shadows in the garden.

A strange little book. I was initially atrracted by the beautiful illustrations by Michael Sowa, and bought it as a Christmas gift for a young cousin. However, on having a quick read through, I decided it wasn't really sutable for her. It's an enjoyable fantasy tale which touches on some serious concepts. I'm sending it as a RABCK along with a bookray that has a similar cental theme: aging backwards.

What a nice surprise!!! thank you so much, also for the sweet goodie. I already read this little book in its German original; but I will do so again now, because I like Axel Hacke und I love the illustrations by Michael Sowa. already ten stars: eight for the book and two for the nice idea to pass this along as a RABACK.

Journal Entry 5 by Sternschnuppe28 from Mainz, Rheinland-Pfalz Germany on Friday, January 13, 2006
The "Little King December" is a very sweet story, that helps us to find back to a more "phantastic" and dreamful life. I like that King December II storages dreams in boxes and that he is able to observe things in the city we usually dont see, because we just rush through. And do you know the best? After the lecture I checked my baseboard, and guess, who lives there? Now every evening I give Little King December a jelly bear, I eat one, too, and together we share a different view to the world. The booklet continues to travel, as soon as I will have read through "The confessions of Max Tivoli".

Journal Entry 7 by Flicki from Emden, Niedersachsen Germany on Monday, January 23, 2006
Received this today - thanks so much!! It seems to get along very well with Max Tivoli! :-) What a nice surprise, though! I'll probably pass the book on with the other one to Japan whenever I've read the books - it doesn't make all too much sense to send this English version of a German book all around Germany! :-)

This was an enchantiung little book! :-) I especially enjoyed the drawings by Michael Sowa. Quite funny to read Axel Hacke in English, though! :-) Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing! I'll pass it on soon. (Probably again with Max Tivoli, but I'm still working on that one).
