From the Back Cover:
For Lynn Danfort, the sudden loss of her young husband had been almost unbearable. With two children to raise, she'd counted on the support of her husband's best friend, Ryder Matthews. But then Ryder had left town without warning and Lynn had found herself feeling alone and betrayed. Now three years later, Ryder was back - his return as mysterious as his departure. And his interest in her seemed to go beyond the comfortable friendship they'd shared before. Was his tempting courtship just the belated result of feelings of guilt? Or were Ryder's true feelings something else altogether?

Overall, I like the storyline of this book, where a platonic relationship blossoms into love that's built on the longterm friendship. I also liked how the well-being of the children was a priority over the relationship. However, I felt these characters could have been more romantic towards each other. It seemed more like a physical attraction than a courtship. Their conflicts could have been more pleasantly resolved with open communication rather than prideful stubbornness and using sex to avoid talking about their issues. Still, it was a nice story despite the frustration I sometimes felt with the protagonists and their lack of meaningful/convincing dialogue.

I have to agree with Valentina1209, there was more sex than communication going on in this book-not one of Debbie's best. I am reserving this book as a RABCK for top-tappser.
