2 journalers for this copy...
I really enjoyed this novel. It was the first time for me to read a book by Ian McEwan, but it not be the last. I hope whoever picks this up enjoys it as much as I did.

Wow! My first bookcrossing experience. There was this book on the table in the Starbucks, looking lonely. So I took it home with me and read it over the next few days on the train on the way to and from my job in Washington, D.C.
I liked the author's writing and the story very much. Its one of the few times I've read a book without thinking of how much it would have been improved by a decent editor. Great writing, good story, and the pace of the story, although it seemed to plod at times, actually created tension so that the action was intensified. Somehow everyone seemed a hero at the end.
I'm sending this book to a friend in Stockholm so it can travel there. Thanks Timothy!
