A very nice conclusion to Aidan's trilogy! Book two disappointed and the third, as I'd suspected it might, was a vast improvement as the storyline moved back closer to Austen's original narrative. The tale of Darcy's slow recognition of the truth of Eliza Bennet's assessment of his character is well done. The portrayal of his successful attempts at improving himself and becoming a gentleman more worthy of Miss Bennet's approbation is both entertaining and instructive.

The set is worth reading for dieheart Pride & Prejudice fans!

Decided at the beginning of this year (2017) to read more books from the 1001 Books To Read Before You Die Book List. With that in mind, I've yet to read Pride and Prejudice and recently purchased both a lovely hardcover copy, along with a paperback copy to make available for elizardbreath's 1001Library-USA Bookcrossing Bookshelf https://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/10/543067 , from a Friends of the Library Sale. While not on the 1001 Book List, this Trilogy sounds like an interesting extension to the saga from another author's perspective, so I am choosing Books 1 - 3 from JennyC1230's Variety Genre Bookbox to have available for future reading once I do have an opportunity to read actually Pride and Prejudice.
