Dead to the World (Southern Vampire Mysteries)

Synopsis from Amazon:
Sookie Stackhouse is back! The mind-reading, vampire- dating, small-town cocktail waitress from small-town Louisiana returns in her fourth Southern Vampire Mystery. Life is never simple for Sookie Stackhouse, despite (or maybe because of) the fact that she always tries to do the right thing. Maybe that's why, when she comes across a semi-naked vampire on the road home from work, she doesn't just drive on by, even though she knows it almost certainly means trouble. Turns out the vampire hasn't a clue as to who he is. But Sookie does. It's Eric, still as scary and sexy - and dead - as the day she first met him. But now that he has amnesia, Eric is sweet, vulnerable, and in need of Sookie's help - because whoever took his memory now wants his life. Sookie's investigation into why leads straight into a dangerous battle among witches, vampires and werewolves. But the greater danger could be to Sookie's heart - because the kinder, gentler Eric is very difficult to resist ...
This is probably my favourite Sookie Stackhouse book so far. I hope they keep getting better! 11 out of 10.
Book #4 in 2006, published in 2005, 320 pages. Total pages for 2006: 1,078 pages.

This book picks up a few weeks after the last one left off. But this book does not touch on the Sookie, Bill, and Eric triangle as much. Bill is demoted to a minor character this time around. I enjoyed the fact that Jason, Sookie's brother, is finally pulled into the Supernatural world as well :) As usual, there are a few sub-plots left dangling, to be continued in the next. Which means I can't wait to get my hands on the next book of the series LOL Charlaine Harris is getting better and better!!
Sookie is here! Yippiee!!! I can hardly wait to read her new adventure! Unfortunately she will have to wait a little while, because I have lots of bookrings here at the moment... Don't worry though, I'll get to her in good time! :-)
Again, a wonderful adventure taking place in the Sookie-Universe! I enjoyed learning more about the various supes during the story and there's a lot of potential for new and exciting stories to come! The next two books are definitely on my wishlist and on my to-buy-list for my US-trip...
I really didn't miss Bill... all the other characters make up plenty for him! Who needs Bill when there's Eric? Or Alcide? LOL I'm also looking forward to learn more about Jason!
Thanks for sharing cathepsut! The book will travel on to Sternschnuppe as soon as I get to the German post office next time.

Arrived this morning, read this afternoon, mailed this evening! I quite enjoyed No. 4 of the Southern Vampire Series, a couple of pages longer than the previous books - my favourite one so far. Thanks for sharing!
Yea another Sookie book! I wish I could start it right away but I have one book in front of it. I am looking forward to finding out how all the characters are doing. This is such a fun series. Thanks cathepsut for sharing these books with all of us.
I have certainly fallen for this series. I have to agree with the other readers that Bill is not really missed much in this book. Eric is lovable in this book but you know it won’t last for long. ;) Now I cannot wait to read “Dead as a Doornail” and “Definitely Dead.”
Wohooooooooo, it's finally here. I have to finish up Killing Moon then I will start on this. Probably by Thursday. Oh how I luv yummy books. Thanks cathepsut for including me here.
Oh what can I say other than this is the best yet. So much temptation for Sookie here that if I were her I'd want all the men. YUM YUM. It was also nice to see her brother more involved than just with women. Nice twist there.
I really don't know what else to say so I don't give away the plot without letting everyone who is after me to read this get let down. Let's just say that Sookie has matured nicely, there are new characters that really add interest and some of the old characters actually develop some paranormal knowledge.
Hope you all enjoy this and I can't wait for the next one. Thanks for including me here.
This will be going out today to nancyluvsbooks.

Yay! Another in the Southern Vampire Series! I started it today - love it already! Will read and send it on within 30 days. Thanks!
Still loving this series! Sookie's love life just keeps getting more interesting. I have to admit I like the old Eric better before he lost his memory. With the memory loss, he got a bit too vulnerable. I felt a little sorry for Bill, though. I think Sookie hasn't treated him right. But on the other hand, I'm not sure they ever really did have great chemistry. I think Sookie has chemistry with Alcide. I'm ready to see her start dating him. Looking forward to the next in the series.
I will send this off to the next person on the list in the next few days.

Mailed out to nightraine56 today. Happy Reading!
I got this yesterday. I have a book I'm currently reading and I will get to this soon. It looks good.
I didn't like this one as much as the previous stories, but I did enjoy it. I guess the ending left me a little disappointed and I was surprised at how easy Sookie was this time around to bed someone. Being dumped will do that to you though. Thanks cathepsut for sharing. I'm sending it on today to luintaurien today.
Got it today. Thank you. Will read and pass on ASAP.
Sending on when I get the address.
