I really liked this book. It conveys wonderfully the paranoia of being near and researching alien, intelligent life, and not even knowing, despite all your attempts to experiment and communicate, if it's aware of your presence at all, or if it just doesn't care, or if it ignores you, or if the strange intelligence can even comprehend the existence of other life.

And then, apparently, it starts to do unto others.

A brilliant book, and well worth the time spent.
