Not the best autobiography I've ever read - it reads like something cobbled together by a ghost-writer from a series of quick interviews. But then again, that's probably because it was, and given the circumstances of its writing (D'Audney had just been diagnosed with a brain tumour and given months to live), you can kind of forgive that.

An interesting glimpse though into the life (and approach to death) of one of our first television celebrities.

Easy to read (good to improve my englisch) with some interesting parts of the beginning of women in the tv business. for example: can a woman read the news?! no, she is not able to, because she can't talk serious enough...

Hired, fired and re-hired on several famous occasions, Angela returned each time with renewed vigour. But even her resilience wavered when she was given the dreadful news that she had a brain tumour.Rather than dwell on "what might be" the indomitable Ms D'Audney was persuaded to write a book - in between visits to the oncology ward.

wenn wir Bookcrosserinnen Bücher freilassen, dann tun wir das, um anderen eine Freude zu machen! Aber auch, um unser Hobby, das Bookcrossing, bekannter zu machen.

Und das allerschönste am Bookcrossing ist, wenn eine Finderin/ein Finder einen Eintrag zu dem Buch macht: wo das Buch gefunden wurde, wie es der Leserin/dem Leser gefiel und wie die Reise des Buches jetzt weitergeht.

Wir kriegen dann manchmal Gänsehaut vor Freude und erzählen uns gegenseitig von besonders schönen oder lustigen Einträgen.
