Journal Entry 1 by sarradee from Dallas, Texas USA on Tuesday, December 13, 2005
In this tenth-anniversary edition of the much-loved Biblioholism: The Literary Addiction, author Tom Raabe takes a humorous look at the all-consuming love of books and has updated the information within by discussing the ever-mutating new E-landscape and its effects on fellow biblioholics everywhere. Have you ever awakened the morning after a book-buying spree and been unable to remember how many volumes you bought or how much you spent? Have you ever been reprimanded or fired for reading on the job? Have you ever purchased or rented additional living space just for your books? If you answer "yes" to any or all of these questions, don't worry. You are not alone. Your complete recovery awaits you-just buy one more book!

Journal Entry 2 by sarradee from Dallas, Texas USA on Tuesday, December 13, 2005
Hi, my name is Sarra and I'm a biblioholic. I found this book to be hilarious, but also scary because so much of it describes me. I've been on book shopping trips, and later discovered that I already own some of the books that I bought. Good thing there's Bookcrossing, so I can claim, "I bought that copy to release!" I discovered this book on PokPok's profile, where she was hosting a perpetual ray, which I tried to join only to find that it had been stalled. I promised that if I came across a copy I'd use it to continue the ray. This copy was sitting on the shelf at Half Price Books, and it somehow jumped into my basket. I'll be mailing it out to PokPok after the holidays, and I hope it has a long and happy journey.

Sarradee, thank you so much for restarting my ray. I will personally hand it to Secretariat, who is next on the list, at our next meetup. I will also update this journal, so it links to the original book, and youcan read those reviews, as well. Many thanks for the great BC karma.

Released 5 yrs ago (3/22/2006 UTC) at Controlled Release in Controlled Release, --by post or by hand (ie ring, ray, RABCK, trade) -- Controlled Releases WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES: I enjoyed this book about readers and reading, though in places I learned more than I really needed to know (people who eat the pages of their books or bury them--what's up with that!). I found the book to be fun and informative. On its way to juliebarreto in Hawaii. Safe travels little book!

Journal Entry 10 by boreal from Dunedin, Otago New Zealand on Thursday, June 29, 2006
Sorry but I couldn't get into this, it all seemed too repetitive for my tastes so after reading a couple of chapters I skimmed the rest and discovered it all much the same. Am just about to get in touch with Grooble re posting it on.

Sorry I've had it for so long - I moved house, hurt my back, then didn't get the internet back for a while...anyway, it's a great little book, although the chapter "the Cure" made me shudder a bit. I did get rid of a lot of books when I moved (some registered)but I'm back to my old collecting ways now!
