Journal Entry 1 by Rianonne from Wien Bezirk 22 - Donaustadt, Wien Austria on Tuesday, December 13, 2005
All Aisling Grey had to do was deliver a centuries old, gold dragon statue to her uncle's client in Paris, but instead she finds the woman murdered and a strange, sexy man lingering nearby. Drake Vireo claims to be with Interpol, but before Aisling can verify this, he, along with the statue, disappears. Now the French police's prime suspect in the case, Aisling must figure out who really killed the woman and exactly where Drake disappeared to with her artifact. Aisling's efforts to clear her name become even more complicated once she learns she is a Guardian (as in guarding the portals to hell), and dishy Drake is a real-life dragon (otherwise known as wyvern). Scouring Paris' occult community for clues, Aisling, armed with a crabby demon in the shape of a Newfoundland dog, finds herself not only mixed up in murder and magic but also tangling and tangoing with a sexy dragon.

Update 10th June 2006:
I enjoyed the book greatly and raced through it in 2 days!! It's a light and fluffy read.
To be honest, I had a bit of a hard time to get into the story but that all changed at page 95 and the introduction of the character Jim. I adore Jim !! I laughed a lot. And there were some really steamy scenes in here. Whew!

Some guidelines:
1. Please journal the book when it arrives (so we know it's safe and sound with you), once you read it (to let us know how you liked it) and when you ship it off (so we know it's on its way to the next reader).

2. Please PM the next person in line before shipping the book off, not only for the adress, but also to ask if they are still interested in the ray!

3. Try not to take longer than 4 to 6 weeks to read the book. But we all understand that sometimes life (and bookrings...) just happens. :-) In that case, please make another journal entry to let us know that the book is not forgotten.

4. Surface shipping is perfectly acceptable.

5. And the most important thing: Have fun!

Journal Entry 4 by Amberkatze from Wien Bezirk 10 - Favoriten, Wien Austria on Thursday, June 15, 2006
This book was great! I really enjoyed it and kept wishing that I had more time to read it. I just couldn't put it down. I loved the storyline although at some points it was hard to get my head around the demon/dragon details.

Jim was funny and Rene wasn't too bad either! I am trying to learn some of the new French phrases because they are much better than the ones I got to learn in school :) I am glad there is a bookring already beening set up by Needsun for the second part of this series. I really want to read more!

I will pm Morgaine77 to check that the address I have for her is still ok and then I will put this in the post to her next week. Thanks again Rianonne for letting me read this one!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Thanks so much for sharing, Rianonne! I LOVED Jim. Can I please have a demon, too? Pretty please? ;-)
There were some extremely steamy scenes! Yum! So, along with the demon, please also send a dragon my way, will you? LOL
I like the Guardian idea and am very curious how this will develop.

I'm so glad I'm already signed up for the sequel NeedSun offers! Can hardly wait to read more about Aisling and Drake!

I'll pass this on to penelopewanders as soon as I can.

RELEASE NOTES:

Travelling on to penelopewanders. Enjoy! :-)

I too enjoyed this book---and especially liked Rene, the taxi driver (I've got to memorize a few of those French lines)and Jim, the 'Newfoundland' demon.
Some of the time, the reader is just as confused as Aisling about what's 'really' going on, but it sure makes for a good read.
This book is now off to AngelfireStar.

Came home after a long day helping out at an estate sale to find this in my mailbox -- perked me right up!

Journal Entry 23 by wingAramenawing from Noble, Oklahoma USA on Monday, July 9, 2007
Very enjoyable. As I was reading, I realized that I'm pretty sure I have read an Aisling Grey book before, I remembered her and Drake, but a different story line, something about a chalice I believe. Anyway, as others before me have said, Jim was a wonderful character who definitely provided a lot of comic relief.

I am starting Fire Me Up today, and also PMing the next person.

I really enjoyed this book and like so many others I loved Jim - what a hoot :-) Really hot and steamy love scenes between Aisling and Drake as well and I'm also intruiged by the whole "Guardian" thing and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all pans out.

Thanks for sharing, Riannone - I have your address (unless you've moved in the last couple of months!) and will get the book to you in the next couple of days.
