I found Blindness to be a good book, but it did not live up to my expectations of it. The lack of speech marks was extremely confusing, and at times I was unsure as to who was speaking, and indeed if they were speaking at all. Got a bit repetitive at times also. Not a book that I would recommend, but an okay read.
A bizarre but fascinating premise, a little too much graphic detail in places but an interesting read.

Hi. Not read the book yet, but was searching for it for the next bookgroup. Bought at a charity shop in Surbiton for 50p. Have read some of Saramago before and am surprised at my lack of distress over flaunting of punctuational conventions. My favourite of his so far The Cave. Be assured I will release it as soon as I have finished. But where...... Perhaps I will make sure it continues round the globe towards North America.
