10 out of 10

14 January 06: I knew I had a reason for putting this book on my wishlist some months ago! It was a great read and I liked the way in which the chapters were organised.
Each chapter was better than the former one - maybe that is because I loved Girl With a Pearl Earring and since reading that book I have been interested in Netherlands in the time of Vermeer.
I am sure I am going to find another enthusiastic reader soon.

9 out of 10

It was a nice little book, that helped me throughout my hardest exams...A friend of mine gave it to me :) (blaisezabini12)
Pleasant and captivating.

9 out of 10

I took part in a course in Ghent (Belgium) in February. There, I met great people and one of them (one of my sleeping-room partner, actually) gave the book to me.

Because of my studies I couldn't read the book as fast as I've expected but I really enjoyed it. The story is so nice...and it's very well written. I've never read before this kind of stories and I must say that this one is specially spellbounding!

Now I'm going to send it to a Polish friend of mine (who's studying in UK). I hope she likes the book as much as I liked it.
