Journal Entry 4 by futurecat from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Monday, May 29, 2006
I was on my way to my spanish class at the University of Canterbury this morning when I spotted a book lying on a windowsill in the corridor. I was busy thinking about the vocab I was supposed to have learnt for today's lesson, so I wasn't really paying attention, so it wasn't until I'd walked past the book that I suddenly realised there was a yellow bookcrossing sticker on the front. I quickly turned back and grabbed the book, and discovered not only was it a bookcrossing book, it was one that was originally registered by The-Organist! It's only the third bookcrossing book I've ever found in the wild, in over three years as a bookcrosser, so finding it was very exciting! Thanks gemart, and The-Organist, for seriously brightening up my day! ^ ^ 00 =+= V

Journal Entry 5 by futurecat from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Thursday, June 25, 2009
Finally dug down deep enough through Mt ToBeRead to reach this book, and now I'm wishing I hadn't left it there so long - what an interesting story! Explores the difference between experiencing a country as a tourist and as a resident, and the resultant clash of cultures which, while it might diminish with experience, never entirely goes away. ^ ^ 00 =+= v
