Stephanie Plum is down on her luck. She's lost her job, her car's on the brink of repossession, and her apartment is fast becoming furniture-free. Enter Cousin Vinnie, a low-life who runs a bail-bond company. If Stephanie can bring in vice cop turned outlaw Joe Morelli, she stands to pick up $10,000. But tracking down a cop wanted for murder isn't easy... And when Benito Ramirez, a prize-fighter with more menace than mentality, wants to be her friend Stephanie soon knows what it's like to be pursued. Unfortunately the best person to protect her just happens to be on the run... I'd not read any of the Stephanie Plum series, so when I spotted this in Asda for only £1.63 I thought I really should give it a try and I'm glad I did. The book was really enjoyable and a light-hearted read. I'll definitely be looking out for the rest in the series.

Journal Entry 3 by Vroomfondel from Leeds, West Yorkshire United Kingdom on Tuesday, December 06, 2005
Picked up at tonight's Hull BookCrossing Meet Updated Saturday 14 November 2009: For some reason, probably due to the pink cover and the picture of the woman on the front, I thought this was chick-lit. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it wasn't - it's a funny, well-written and enjoyable thriller. A good story, with one or two shocking and clever twists. I'll be seeking out more by this author. Left in Millennium Park in Lismore, County Waterford, Ireland. On one the railings close to the toilets.
