They certainly get better as they go on. But I can't help feeling it's the type of story I read as a youngster.

I very much enjoyed the story although the first half of it seemed to be a bit slower than the first two books about Harry Potter. His life is in danger, as usual, because the murderer of his parents has escaped a highly secure prison and of course the story revolves around this. The plot is a bit more down to earth because of this. I think that´s what confused me a bit. With this book you get a better feel of the life of a child who is a student at a very strange school. It also makes me more excited to read the rest of the books, because it seems things are more complicated underneath the surface...

Enjoyed this one as well.. Wish I had the time-turner!
I like the way Rowling's book differ from each other. I like this one better than nr. 2 because nr. 2 is somewhat more like the traditional crime novels, with some signs given in the beginning, which are used as the clues which solve the riddle (!) in the end.
Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
